FBM-Analytics is a pioneering spin-off from the Functional Brain Mapping Laboratory (FBM Lab), a research hub established in 1994 at the Medical Faculty of the University of Geneva by Professor Christoph M. Michel. With a legacy of innovation and excellence, the FBM Lab has been at the forefront of developing advanced methods for high-density electroencephalography (EEG) analysis. These cutting-edge techniques have been instrumental in unraveling the complexities of human mental processes and their modulation across a spectrum of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Over the past three decades, the FBM Lab has made significant contributions to the field of neuroscience. The lab has published an impressive corpus of 621 research articles, reviews, and book chapters, which collectively have garnered over 37,000 citations. This remarkable academic output has earned the lab an H-Index of 92, as per Google Scholar metrics. Professor Christoph M. Michel, a leading authority in the field, is also the co-editor of the seminal book “Electrical Neuroimaging,” published by Cambridge University Press in 2009.
With Professor Michel’s retirement from the University of Geneva in September 2024, FBM-Analytics has been founded to continue and expand upon his pioneering work.
